Double Layer RC Car Display Stand
Two shelves on the same base and the same table footprint as the single. This is the build we ship the most, because most racers who own one car end up owning two.

Set your colors
Pick a scale, a base color for the frame and side rails, and an accent color for the shelves, sleeves and caps. The photo updates as you choose, so you can see the exact combination before you buy it.
The real stand, photographed, in the colors you picked.
1. Scale
1/10 is the common on road and off road size. 1/8 buggies and truggies need the wider fit.
2. Base & side rail color
Applies to the base and the lower, middle and upper side rails. Three choices.
3. Shelf, sleeve & cap color
Applies to the shelves, the side sleeve covers and the top cap. Nine choices.

Why the second shelf is the one that changes your race day
Going from one car to two is where a pit table starts falling apart. The second car ends up on its side on the table, or on the floor, or balanced on a pit bag. The double fixes that for $20 over the single.

Race car up, spare car down
The most common setup. The car you are running sits on the top shelf where you can get to it between heats without moving anything, and the spare or the backup chassis sits underneath, built and ready. When something breaks in the middle of a race day, the swap is one lift rather than a rebuild.
Two classes, one stand
If you run buggy and short course, or touring and drift, the double carries both to the track on one base. Both shelves are the same size and both have TE ShelfGrip pads, so there is no second class shelf where the spare goes because it does not deserve better.
Same table footprint as the single
This is the part people miss. The double does not take more table, it takes more air. The base is still 10.00 by 12.00 inches, the same plate the single and the triple sit on. You are buying a second car position for zero extra pit table, which at a crowded club track is worth more than the $20.
The numbers that decide whether it fits
Two measurements matter before you buy a two layer stand: overall height where it lives, and the gap between shelves where the lower car sits.

Vertical clearance for the lower car
The gap the second layer adds is sized for a 1/10 car with its body on. Buggies, touring cars and drift chassis all clear comfortably. The exception is a tall rear wing on an off road buggy, and the answer there is to put the winged car on the top shelf where nothing sits above it. That costs you nothing and it is how most people run it anyway.
Overall height where it lives
The double clears most workbench shelves and most display cabinets, but it is tall enough that a low kitchen style upper cabinet will not take it. Measure the space before you order if it is going somewhere fixed. In a hauler this is not a factor because the stand travels folded.
The 1/8 scale double at $109
The 1/8 build is wider through the base and the shelves for 1/8 buggies and truggies, using the same fold mechanism and the same colors. Its dimensions differ from the 1/10 numbers above, so email us for exact figures if clearance is tight.
How to load a two layer stand
None of this is complicated, but getting it right is the difference between a stand that feels solid and one that feels tippy when you pick it up.
Heavy car low
Put the heavier chassis on the bottom shelf. A nitro truggy or a brushless short course truck belongs underneath a touring car, not above it.
Wing car high
If one car has a tall rear wing, it goes on top where nothing is above it. That removes the only real clearance question.
Charger in the dock
The TE PowerDock in the base takes up to two power supplies and a charger, which also lowers the centre of gravity.
Carry by the base
Pick it up by the base rather than a rail. Both cars stay put on the ShelfGrip pads.
Your two colors, your way
Nothing on this stand is a stock part pulled off a shelf. The base and rails are printed in one color and the shelves, sleeves and caps in another, both chosen by you.

Base and side rails come in black, dark grey or clear. Shelves, sleeve covers and top caps come in red, green, purple, navy blue, blue, yellow, orange, pink or teal. On a double you are seeing twice as much accent color as on a single, which is why this is the build people match to a body or a team color.
Every stand is built to order in your colors, which takes 3 to 7 business days. Either way the base still carries your charger, your discharger and your transmitter to the track.

Double layer stand FAQ
How much clearance is there between the two shelves?
The double carries a second shelf above the first, so it stands taller than the single by one layer. Contact us for the exact heights. That is enough for a standard 1/10 buggy or touring car on the lower shelf with the body on. A tall wing on an off road buggy is the one thing worth checking, and the fix is simple: run the winged car on the top shelf and the flatter car underneath.
Can I put two different classes on one double stand?
Yes, and most people do. A buggy on one shelf and a short course truck or a touring car on the other is the normal way a double gets used. Both shelves are the same size and both carry TE ShelfGrip pads, so neither one is the compromise shelf. The only real constraint is total width, so a very wide short course body may want the top shelf where nothing sits above it.
Is a double layer stand stable with two cars on it?
It is, because the base is the same full size base used on the single and the triple rather than a narrowed one. Load the heavier car on the bottom shelf and the lighter one on top and the centre of gravity stays low. The TE ShelfGrip pads stop a car sliding when you carry the stand from the pit table to the drivers stand.
What does the double layer RC car stand cost?
The 1/10 scale double is $99 and the 1/8 scale double is $109. That is $20 over the matching single for a whole second car position, which is why the double is the build we ship most. Tax and shipping are added at checkout, so you see the full total before you pay.
I already own a single. Is upgrading cheaper than buying a double?
Yes. The single to double upgrade kit is $25, so a single at $79 plus a kit lands at $104 against $99 for a double bought outright. If you are buying now and you know you want two cars on it, buy the double. The kit exists for people who already own a single and do not want to replace a stand that is working fine.
Does the double still fold flat?
Yes. TE FoldLock works the same on all three builds. The double folds flat in seconds with no tools, and folded it is barely thicker than the single because the extra shelf and sleeve collapse into the same stack. It still travels beside a pit bag rather than needing its own shelf.
How much is shipping and how long does it take?
Shipping is a flat rate by region, added at checkout: $24 to the US West, $39 to the Central and Southern states, $59 to the East, and $75 to Alaska and Hawaii. Every stand ships in a 24 by 12 by 8 inch box from San Jose, California by USPS Ground Advantage. Allow 3 to 7 business days for us to print your build, then 2 to 6 business days in transit.
What is your return policy?
You have 14 days from delivery to start a return. Email shon@towerenterpriseinc.com within those 14 days and we will walk you through it. Returns go back by mail and you pay the return shipping. We would much rather answer a fit question before you buy than process a return after, so send us your chassis and we will tell you straight.
Double, or go straight to three?
If two cars is where you are staying, the double is the right buy. If you already run three classes, the triple layer stand at $119 is only $10.99 more. Coming from one car, the single layer stand is $79 and the upgrade kits are $25 each. The whole line is on the TE Racing page, and the home page covers what Tower Enterprise does.
